Agnes Avagyan looks back on more than twenty years of artistic practice in Switzerland. Her training follows the academic tradition of Eastern European art schools: anatomy, composition, colour theory, and watercolor as a sensitive, unforgiving medium. Since 2006 she has worked in Switzerland; since at least 2012 continuously at the country’s most demanding stages, galas, and corporate occasions – from Zurich’s financial district to Lucerne lake festivals and intimate anniversaries in the Bernese Mittelland. Her studio is in Kriens near Lucerne, in central Switzerland, where the light of Lake Lucerne and proximity to major cultural venues shape her painting.
